This place locked down immediately and put safety programs in place well before we started hearing about covid outbreaks in long term care facilities. The home overlooks the St Lawrence River and has the small town feel. The staff have likely grown up with or known most residents and treat them like family. Get your loved one on the waiting list ASAP ????
St.lawrence lodge is a beautiful seniors care home built on the shore overlooking the St. Lawrence river. The nurses and personal care aides are really helpful and it's evident they are not just working for a pay check. The downside is that the government support is not enough to ensure the care for those with higher needs as there is minimal staff at certain times. If your loved one is fairly independent and has family who are involved and will be visiting and/or taking them out then this may be the place for them. If they need more support it are less then independent I might suggest looking elsewhere. Not because of the service which is excellent, but because of the financial support if the government that keeps them running as a skeleton staff.
